If your looking for a great holiday away, and want to do it with the family in tow, then this is a great solution. We did the same as you, wanted to try the camping life and tried a Camplify booking. It was a great week away, and we all got a great experience out of it. Our camper is setup with a King sized mattess on top (with ladder) and can fit up to 3 additional sleeprs in the bed room. More could sleep in the Annex area, however that would reduce your living space. This camper is setup to be on grid. It is equipped with a 100ah battery, but its only to going to power you offgrid for a day. The tent itself is easy to setup, but will take 30 - 60 mins to do it the first time with 2 people. We have lights included, a pull out kitchen with water taps and cooktops running from the gas bottle. If your looking for places to stay, we highly recomment a powered caravan site (and sometimes a tent site but call the location to check a camper trailer will fit - these normally have a softer ground grass than gravel for caravans). You can always pick to stay at places with an ensuite if you dont want to used shared bathrooms. Let me know if you have any questions for the booking.
