Hi, I'm Ally. While I'm not available for off road travels, I do ride on Cruisemaster's XT independent suspension and am perfect for dirt road travels and have a higher chassis height than a normal road van making it easier to get "off the road" if you happen to come across that perfect free camp spot as this is what I'm primarily setup for. Fully self contained, I can stay off-grid for up to 5 days before I may need some water as this (and some sunny days) is the only limiting factor in vans such as myself.

Special towing information

If you do not have an electric brake controller fitted to your vehicle than no problem at all. This van has the Elecbrakes wireless electric braking system fitted. You will need to download the Elecbrakes app for either iPhone or Android to your mobile device prior to arriving to collect your van. Please note that this is an optional extra per hire so please be sure to tick the box if you require this feature when submitting. The hirer must have their own towing mirrors Towing mirrors must be fitted to the tow vehicle on pick up. The vehicle being used to collect our van must be the vehicle towing it for the duration of the hire. Ally has a 12 pin flat plug for the van electrics as well as an Anderson plug fitted for charging the house batteries whilst towing. We do not have plug adapters so you'll need to make sure that you have one to suit your vehicle to a 12 pin flat.

This van is fully self contained with features such as 170 useable litres of fresh water, a grey water holding tank for meeting our national park requirements for self containment compliance, 2 X 200 amp/h lithium batteries, 600W of roof mounted solar, a 2000W inverter, 40A DC to DC charger, wireless charging pads for your compatible mobile devices, gas/electric hot water system, air conditioning, a 2 zone induction cooktop with compatible cookware supplied, 188L 12V compressor fridge, a microwave oven and a roof mounted dust suppression system just to name a few. Just bring your clothes, towels & bedding. No need for an electric brake controller if you don't have one fitted to your vehicle as Ally has the Elecbrakes wireless electric braking system available for those that require it. All you need to do is download the Elecbrakes app on your mobile device. This is available as an extra so be sure to tick the box if you require this feature.

Hiring rules

You must have the WhatsApp app installed on your phone. This is how I send you videos for the use of the van's features including the operation of the awning, inverter, battery management system in case they are fully discharged etc. These videos are specific to Ally and will be extremely helpful prior to and during your hire.
No smoking in the van or under the awning. We have been doing this for years and are never able to rid the van of smoke smell.
The toilet cassette must be returned CLEAN and EMPTY. This is NOT optional
This van is an "Off Road" capable van, however it is not permitted to be taken on any beach, heavily corrugated or rutted roads nor any tracks without our express permission. If we do grant permission then we will need to know the exact route our van will be travelling.
Ally is tracked by Black Knight Global Tracking Systems. This is for your safety and our piece of mind.

Hirer must be 25 years of age or older.

Pricing

Hire Fee: From $140.00 per day
Service fee: $199.00
Delivery fee: $1.75 per km

Cancellations

Strict

Cancel earlier than 45 days before the start of the booking and receive a full credit. Refunds available upon request (less any admin fees) and may take up to 30 days to process.
Cancel between 45 and 20 days before the start of booking and receive a 90% credit. Booking fees will not be credited.
Cancellations less than 20 days before the start of booking will not be eligible for any credit or refund.

This van is compact and light to tow and perfectly suited to off road camping. It was comfortable for our long holiday. Kaz and Daz were very helpful and easy to communicate with over our 6 week trip. I would certainly recommend them to anyone especially those new to caravanning like us.

Kaz and Daz were very helpful from the very start of communication, we didnt have the adapter for the lights and Daz came to the rescue. They even checked in whilst we were away to make sure everything was running smoothly. I would highly recommend Kaz and Dazs to hire a van from.
