A rocky track leads from Injidup car park to the rock pool

1. Injidup Natural Spa, Margaret River

Jaw-dropping beauty awaits in Margaret River at the Injidup Natural Spa. This natural rock formation fills with saltwater goodness from the Indian Ocean, and the mini natural waterfalls create a spa-like environment. Just a short drive south of Yallingup, the natural spa pool is north of the impressive Injidup Beach. Get down early to avoid the crowds, and don't forget your towel and sunscreen for a spot of sunbaking on the rocks.

2. Serpentine Falls, Jarrahdale

The jewel in Serpentine National Park's crown and ideally located for a day of picnics, swims, and short walks. The falls stretch the length of a steep granite face, set in a naturally beautiful rocky outcrop. A 400m walk along the gravel Falls Walk Trail will lead you to a fantastic viewing platform and further down to grassy patches to set up camp for the day. Be sure to stick around for a late afternoon visit from the local friendly kangaroos who like to frequent the area and enjoy lounging next to the bush.

3. Python Pool, Millstream

Located within Millstream Chichester National Park, Python Pools is one of the most iconic and popular freshwater pools in the Karratha area, perfect for swimming on a hot summer's day. Waterfalls cascade from the two large red rock cliffs, and the water is fresh, especially after rainfall. It can get chilly, though, so grab a float if you don't fancy submerging your whole body. All gravel roads lead to good things, and you will have a short unpaved road to navigate leading to the parking area.

4. Honeymoon Pool, Wellington National Park

Blissful, serene, and Instagram-worthy, the Honeymoon Pools should be at the top of your list for a bit of dip this season. Spend the whole day here, sunbathe on the wooden platform or take a running jump into the cool waters from the rope swing. Honeymoon Pool campground is right next to this beautiful river, and be sure to bring an inflatable to float down the river. Check off walking and MTB trails in the area if you stay the night.

5. Black Diamond Lake, Collie

Located 5km west of Collie, this day trip destination is pretty irresistible. Arguably one of Collie's most recognisable hot spots, you shouldn't miss the divine crystal clear waters here. This abandoned mine site filled up with water way back in the 50s, and the water is pretty incredible on a sunny day. SUP, swim or kayak the days away. P.S don't forget your camera.
